Coupons for Cheap and Free Milk

Last week I told you about my Two Week No Spending Challenge. Well, it kicked off on Saturday and so far it’s going great. We haven’t spent a dime, but we’ve still managed to have fun. On Saturday we worked on some projects around the house– small jobs that we already had all of the supplies for, but had just been putting off. We also went to a party at a friend’s apartment and had a great time with friends. We brought a bottle of wine that was already in the cupboard. On Sunday we enjoyed a pot luck lunch after church with the congregation and spent the afternoon cleaning and relaxing.

Our pantry and fridge are still full. Even though we still have close to two gallons of milk left to drink, my husband is already panicking about what will happen when it runs out. Knowing that he has a limited supply of the dairy product has made him crave tall glasses of ice cold milk with every meal. Of course, he’s restrained himself, but I formulated a back up plan in case we do run out of milk during our Two Week No Spending Challenge.

I have about $10 worth of CVS Extra Care Bucks. This is just like money you can use on almost everything CVS sells– including milk. Plus I found this printable coupon that will take $.50 off a milk purchase at CVS. According to A Frugal Find, milk is selling for $2.79 at CVS. With this coupon the milk would only be $2.29. Plus you also earn another $.70 in Extra Care Bucks.

Also, another way to save on milk is by checking out The Great Gallon Give. You can enter to be one of 120 people who will win free milk for a year. Even if you don’t win, make sure you print off the coupon that’s available. Right now it’s a coupon that will give you a free gallon of milk with any $100 grocery purchase. Once the Two Week No Spending Challenge is over, I’m sure I’ll have quite a few groceries to buy. My total may go over $100 before all of my coupons are rung up so if I give this coupon to the cashier first I’ll be able to score free milk!
