The economy may be tight but that does not mean you have to skimp on a Mother’s Day gift. Being creative and putting some thought into what you do to honor mom will be worth more than expensive gifts given with little thought or concern.
Inexpensive but GREAT Mother’s Day Gifts
-
1. No Work Day – make mom take a day off to read a good book, lay around outside or just pamper her self. Split up the chores of taking care of the other siblings, fixing meals or even cleaning up.
2. A Clean House is a Happy House – especially if mom is not responsible. Put together a coupon book that includes household chores that mom can cash in through out the year.
3. Say It in Pictures – put together a video, scrapbook or some other personal memorabilia of all the kids and let each of them add their favorite thoughts about mom.
4. Make it Rhyme – there is just something extra special about a poem created just for mom. Add a hand created painting or drawing and you will likely hit a homerun.
Mother’s Day is not about expensive gifts. It is all about appreciating and honoring mom. Put some creativity into a gift and she is likely to treasure it far more than any store bought trinket you could find.
