Now is the time to head to the ball field. The kids are playing and the concession stand is calling. Acting now, before you get to the field, will help you save big bucks during baseball season.
Tips for Baseball Savings
-
1. Eat before you leave. Having a casserole or crock-pot meal prepared before you head out will save you time and money.
2. Bringing along drinks to the ballgame in a cooler or just a bag will keep the family hydrated without draining the bank account.
3. The costs at the concession stand will always be higher than you can get on your own (which doesn’t make sense since you would think they would be buying in bulk). Save a few cents by bringing along gum, candy and snacks.
4. Carpool with other players to out of town games. You can save on gas and on the wear and tear of your vehicle.
A little planning and organization can go a long ways towards saving you money during baseball season (and really during any time of the year). Planning out meals for before the game, snacks and drinks during the game and traveling arrangements to the game could be the answer to the normal drain that the baseball season can have on a budget.
