This entire financial crisis has my mind racing. The “what ifs” seem to pile up faster than the dirty dishes or the laundry (and I have a house full of boys). It’s hard not to worry about what would become of us if the financial crises took the turn some experts are predicting it will take.
I mentioned this to a friend of mine “normally she’s the negative one of the bunch” and her simple response was that “God is in control.†I was just about to respond when I realized that any response was defeated before I could get it out of my mouth. The truth is that God is in control and that worry is pointless.

The worst thing that could possibly happen is that we would lose everything – financially. Since everything is just stuff, and since we would then be free to start a whole new life, is that really such a bad thing?
On the flip side of that coin, God also calls me to be a good steward. That means I have to invest wisely and prayerfully with all of the money, time and talents that God has entrusted to me.
In the end the financial crisis will likely not be as bad as some experts are predicting. And it probably won’t be as smooth as other experts are saying. We will continue to get along and do what needs to be done.
