This week’s Twitter Tuesday Profile is young, but full of valuable information. She goes by Money Maus both on her blog and on Twitter. She lives in San Diego, California with two roommates and works at an investment firm. If you’re looking for an open and honest look at finances, (including an updated dollar-by-dollar list of her savings accounts) you’ll find Money Maus fascinating.
OODC: How did you get started blogging and tweeting?
@MoneyMaus: I started blogging just after I graduated college, where I had taken a personal finance course and started reading a lot of personal finance blogs! I started tweeting when a lot of other bloggers did, and it’s a great way to keep in touch with bloggers and have fun!
OODC:You’re very open about your financial situation on your blog. Why are you so transparent?
@MoneyMaus:I’m transparent because I have nothing to hide, and I believe everyone can learn from others’ financial situations – whether they make $30K a year or $300K!
OODC:You’re in your twenties, but still manage to be motivated to save for retirement. Is that tough to do?
@MoneyMaus:No, it’s not tough to save for retirement because I’m looking out for my future and I want to save for my retirement… so I can travel the world!
OODC:How do you see your relationship with money changing as you get older?
@MoneyMaus:I see my relationship only getting better with money as I get older, and as I learn more and experience different situations with money!
OODC:What do you hope people get out of your tweets and blog posts?
@MoneyMaus:I hope people get a positive outlook on money, even if they are in debt. And just to have fun in life!
OODC:Who are some of your favorite money tweeters?
@MoneyMaus:I have lots! @SuzeOrmanShow, @hiclassloincome, @CarrieCheap, @punchdebt, @myprettypennies & lots more!
Thanks again to MoneyMaus for being a part of this week’s Twitter Tuesday Profile. Would you like to be considered for an upcoming profile? Just Tweet me!

I like the savings goals listed to the right of Money Maus’ blog. It’s very encouraging to see others setting savings goals!
